Community Compliance Regarding No-Smoking Area Policy: Belief Control Analysis and Tobacco Use Habits in Society the Bugis Tribe (Pare-Pare City & Sidrap Regency) and the Makassar Tribe (Gowa-Takalar Regency) in South Sulawesi

Introduction: Smoking among the people of Bugis-Makassar has become an inseparable part a smoker and habit. Community compliance with No-Smoking Area (KTR) policy is still problem in various regions, this because habits control people's beliefs are not line implementation KTR implementation. Methods: This study used explanatory research design, namely to examine correlation between habit using Bugis cigarettes on implementing smoking-free area which tobacco control. The was conducted four districts South Sulawesi, Takalar, Gowa, Pare-pare, Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regencies. sample 400 respondents non-probability sampling method, Accidental Sampling technique. Results: shows that respondent obtained p-value 0.717 > 0.05 means there no significant use community policies. results test smoking public policies 0.015 <0.05 also show variable have 0.001 habits. Conclusion: Policy makers should focus more all places law enforcement related contexts, including social cultural approaches. got easier time.
